I have a bachelors degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Math from National Louis University. I also hold two masters degrees in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Bilingual/ELL education, and Educational Leadership from American College of Education
Experience
I have 10 years experience teaching middle school math and Algebra. Teaching at a low income school I see many students lacking understanding of math concepts, which affects their confidence in their math skills. My goal is to build students' confidence by using a wide range of strategies such as hands-on activities to help students reach deep understanding. Additionally, I'm fluent in Spanish and can provide tutoring in writing and speaking Spanish.
